Zesty & Tibus attending #BelfastPride 2018
The Zesty and Tibus Teams have been keeping a close eye on the BBC weather updates this week, ahead of this year’s Belfast Pride Parade tomorrow (4th August). With a rainy start to the week, we’re pleased to report the forecast is looking up for the weekend.
Zesty and Tibus are committed to equality and inclusion. We are one of many local and International Businesses based in Belfast who are delighted to ‘Come Out for Change’ in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
This year’s theme ‘Come Out for Change’ is a call for us all to make a stand for equality and to pledge support for all LGBTQ+ people. Belfast Pride have described the Parade as;
‘A celebration, a call for equality, a stand for solidarity and a celebration of the lives of LGBT people in Belfast.’
The Pride Festival is one of Belfast’s biggest cross-community Festivals, offering over 100 Events across 10 days. The focal point of the Festival is Pride Day and the annual Pride Parade. The Parade is a celebration of diversity and individuality, many local Organisations and Businesses take part in the Parade including; the PSNI, QUB, Belfast City Council and Translink.
There is a new route for 2018, the Parade sets off from Custom House Square at 1 pm (sharp!). We recommend you get down early and enjoy the parade build up from 11.30am. The Party in the Square offers food, drinks and entertainment from 11.30am until 6 pm. The Mainstage will host local entertainment all afternoon – kicking off as soon as the parade returns to Custom House Square.
If you’re bringing your little ones, Pride Village is located at the Big Fish and will host a Family Fun Day, a smoke and alcohol free area filled with food stalls, children’s entertainment, bouncy castles and music.
It promises to be a fantastic day whatever the weather! We hope to see you there and we will share our photos soon.
