Kentico was our platform of choice for delivering the Wild Atlantic Way website due to it’s robustness, flexibility and long term scalability. The website is designed with the purpose of offering visitors to Ireland’s beautiful West Coast both the information and inspiration they need to plan the perfect trip – personal to each user and their needs and interests. Ensuring a unique experience both on the site and on the ground.
This website adopts the best practise from social and e-commerce behaviour to create a truly new experience within the global tourism industry. Users of the site can create their own sharable routes via the website through scrapbook and map pinning. Work on site is still ongoing, however, another feature that is already being embraced by users (thanks to Failte Ireland’s foresight regarding the importance of user generated content) is the option to share their own stories and WildAtlanticWay experiences with others – ensuring unque, authentic, relevant and fresh content into the future…
