So Facebook have just launched a brand new timeline as an entirely new way of using your Facebook profile but users won't be able to get their hands on it for another 2 to 3 weeks. Luckily we have a preview here of what it is going to look like for you all and how it will work. Although this has just been rolled out for personal profiles at first Mark Zuckerberg refused to rule out that it would be used for brands and businesses in the future which would open up a huge amount of possibilities beyond regular Facebook pages. We've recorded a little screen cast of it in action here as well as a step by step overview of how to set up your time line down below.
As you can see form the video above this is the main photo that will appear at the top of the profile and give you a very visual look and feel to your time line. You can crop the picture as needed.
This is where you can see a summary of your additional activity within Facebook, such as the friends you've subscribed to or the photos you've uploaded. Everything is gathered into one place, with images pulled in easily so you can get a quick snapshot of activity.
This is where you can see your complete activity log within your profile, where all content is only viewable to you. Here you can view all your activity, not just the top stories that Facebook presents you with.
This is a summary of the top content from your profile, split down into the timeline. You can scroll through to view the content by time, seeing a summary of the top stories
Star Or Hide
You can choose which of your updates you want to make featured within your timeline. You can do this by clicking on a particular update, then choosing to 'star' it, which will make it featured. You also have complete control here of the stories you want to delete.
