I've been a little negative on QR codes over the last couple of weeks, given the crazy lengths some people have been going through to get them noticed. However, I came across three today that I really like. These QR codes have been created by an ad agency called Stupid, based in the UK. They feature graphics from some of the best known apps in the world including Instagram, Angry Birds and Shazam.
All the QR codes scan and they link through to the Apple app store where you can download them. Although QR code marketing has been getting silly lately, one of the areas I have seen it work especially well is linking through to encourage downloads of apps. Although these are not official promotional tools for the apps themselves, they are lovely concepts and a great advertisement for the agency and their work.
