Of all the fonts that designers use, Comic Sans is the one that they would keep well away from. Infamous for its ugly design and overuse in the 90s, it tends to be used ironically, but for the most part, it's rarely makes an appearance on official sites or documents.
Dutch airline KLM is famous for its quirky campaigns that think outside the box and its latest campaign embraces the much-loathed font for a day. The idea, which happened on July 5th, was inspired by the Dutch radio station Radio 3FM.
The campaign included a competition where people named C.Sans could win two return flight tickets from the Netherlands to Paris. Also, it allowed contestants to post on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #comicsansdag.
