Heineken is perhaps one of the best brands in the world when it comes to harnessing the power of social media and promoting themselves. After a long range of imaginative campaigns including a beer keg campaign, the company have now struck a global partnership with Facebook, seeing them collaborate with the social network for their latest campaigns.
But just because it is nearing the end of the year doesn't mean that Heineken are finished with their social media campaigns. In Singapore, they are turning the traditional Christmas tree into a social tree, an installation which consists of 48 LED screens and is eleven meters high. The social tree will allow people to turn the tree into a social hub where they can express good wishes to their friends and families.
Through their Facebook app, you can create greetings that incorporate animation, music and images to express your gratitude. If you're feeling silly, you can take a photo of yourself and turn into a Christmas decoration to be displayed on the tree itself.
The tree will be on display in the heart of Clarke Quay in Singapore from December 17th to 26th and when it's revealed, it will bound to be popular with a global audience wanting to get in touch with family based in the country.
