I am probably talking ourselves out of a lot of clients by writing this post but it will hopefully help smaller businesses that don’t have a budget to hire an agency like ourselves to do their marketing for them. The point that I wanted to make is that there are so many resources on the web that will teach you how to do the basics and a great place to start is with video tutorials. The examples below outline just how easy it is to get up and running and grasp social media and online marketing and although there are only 4 examples here you can be sure that there is a video out there covering the area that you want to improve yourself at. Even if you don’t have the time or patience to teach yourself fully and you are hiring somebody to do the work for you it can be a great idea to watch a few videos before engaging a company/individual to do the work for you so as you have a basic overview of the subject. Check out the following examples to see just how good the video content that is out there is…

Want to get into display advertising but don’t have a clue where to start? Niall and Andrew over at Vstream have just launched the wicked new Digital Makrketing School. Head on over and subscribe to their videos to get weekly updates and learn more

You Have built a website and now you want to get it listed on search engines, how does that work? Well the guys over at Common Craft have videos on all sorts of web services and products and explain them in simple English for people from a non technology background.

Remember all those boring classes you had to sit through in school or college teaching you Microsoft Excel? Well the good news is you don’t have to do that any more and instead Google has a ton of videos on YouTube that help you to use their products and given that you spend most of your time online using their services it is probably a good idea that you watch a couple especially around their Analytics and Adwords products.

How do I import my Delicious bookmarks into my Facebook account? Slightly technical question that would probably take about an hour to work out but luckily the guys over at Videojug have a video for pretty much every tech problem there is out there. Check out their technology section and you will find most social media and marketing subjects are covered in a video.
