Irish Bar Doing Glee Recreation Is A Good Use Of Social Media For Small Business

Over the last few months I have seen tons of large brands trying to do flash mobs in countries all over the world and for the large part they are pretty annoying and predictable but Leo Fogarty sent me a great example of a small Irish business using Glee and video in a really smart way to help them out. I am no Glee fan myself but I see people talking about it online every single day of the week and this small pub in Skerries is looking to tap in to all the online buzz and have created what I must say is a pretty professional looking video. They can be sure to get huge buzz online, lots of talk going with the customers and it must have been a great morale booster for the staff. In a world where the extent of most small businesses’ online presence is setting up a Twitter account and tweeting out special offers this really is forward thinking and probably quite cheap way of marketing. They have tapped in to something really popular and created some good content which I suspect will get a lot more coverage than they could have ever imagined. Also watch out for the good subtle placements of the Ollie’s Bar Branding. Top job here…
