Episode 1 Of The Zesty Show Or Whatever You Want To Call It

You all know that I have made lots of videos in the last couple of years but I thought it was about time that we got some of the others from Simply Zesty out in front of the camera. So it was with much cajoling that Tom, Lauren and Niall Fagan all sat down on our Simply Zesty beach for the first ever Zesty show. We are actually looking for a name for the show and would love it if you guys could suggest a couple of names in the comments and also give us honest feedback and topics you would like to see appear on upcoming shows. The format is simple in that the guys pick a couple of social media topics and have a very casual discussion around those topics. If you guys like it the show will come out every Friday at 12 ad you’ll be able to get it via download, iTunes, Youtube etc. So sit back and see what you think and I will warn you that Fagan seems to automatically love the camera and Lauren does drop in a couple of swear words which is very unusual for her! Let us know what you think in the comments…

Really like this idea guys, as for a title I have no ideas I am afraid. Ok going to put on my sound engineering hat now, the only thing I would say was that I did find the sound a little weak in places, the majority of the time the voices cut through but then other times I struggled to hear what was being said especially from Mr Fagan, yes great camera presence, but sometimes just not heard, also the questions from behind the camera could not be heard at all unless I whacked the volume up but then got deafened when the couch spoke again.
I do hope you don’t see this as being a comment of criticism and I know you did not ask for it but its something to bear in mind for show number 2!
Very valuable feedback John, and from an expert no less! completely take it on board and will see what we can do. We were just working with one strategically placed radio mic for this one, but will do better next time
Hey sorry about the sound, was a last minute thing and I only had the radio mic with me, so we chose Lauren to have the best quality! We’ll have a shotgun mic next week so hopefully we’ll hear all of myself and “Chef” Niall’s hilarious input. Well, mine at least
No worries Aaron, as I say I love the idea of this, and probably only a cardiod radio mic aswell thus limiting its range and it will make a massive difference having the rifle mic for the next one should be a lot more omni directional anyhow. Looking forward to it already.

Hey guys well done on the show, found it really relaxed and interesting!loving the banter!!(not sure about the name ‘fagan hour’, maybe something more juicy like ‘The Bitter bite’ with simply zesty!!! ) And tom, Niall is the king of foursquare!!!!!, he’s also always trying to convert me! and the video makes me want to check it out!so well done, ill be waiting for the next one!!
I used to have a lot more Mayorships, I know I’ll be giving up a lot when more people jump on board but once I can hold on to my St Anne’s Park & The Spire, I’ll be set :0) thanks btw!

Good video; You planning a follow up post about the mechanics of putting one together (e.g. Topic preparation the Camera, the Video Editing software, the choice of Vimeo to host, the time involved)?
Obviously an area that I’m looking at (early stages), wanting to get an idea of the committments required, esp. for a time-to-prepare-and-edit point of view.
