Just a tweet won't do much, if anything at all. Yes it helps that a celebrity tweets about you and as you quite rightly pointed out in your article, longevity is something that needs to be looked at. But... I don't think anyone would turn down a tweet from Stephen Fry if you get over a 1000% increase in traffic...all beit for a day! I would agree with the above. As I think rightly pointed out engagment once cliked through is the key. Just a tweet about a website isn't going to cut it IMO. Plus how many of those people were actually interested in the concept / product stephen fry was tweeting about and how many just clicked becasue it is stephen Fry and just thought they should check it out.
