3 Apps to Turn Your iPad Into A Killer Productivity Device
The iPad did create an industry, but it’s faced a lot of criticism from a lot of quarters about not being very good at doing any sort of heavy work. Here are some applications that will definitely help improve your productivity and make your iPad more than just a multimedia tablet:
Soulver
A lot of applications today like to focus on imitating real-world applications. The calculator app on iPhone and iCal for OS Lion are two apps that are at fault in this regard. The iPhone (and computers in general) are in a position to be so much better than our old technology, so why do they insist on putting familiarity before punctuality? The iPhone can be so much better than the one-line LED that our calculators use.
On that note — enter Soulver, a calculator app that takes full advantage of the iPad’s strengths. It lets you break up calculations over multiple lines, mix words and numbers and allows you to take advantage of iPad’s considerable screen real-estate.

Evernote
I’ve talked about Evernote before so I won’t repeat myself. A great app for keeping all sorts of notes organized, it’s supremely useful to be able to view and edit those notes on the go.

NoteShelf
One of the main criticisms of the iPad is that you can’t type very much on it, especially not quickly. Well, here’s an app that takes advantage of that fact by letting your finger do the writing instead. NoteShelf is great for jotting down notes, equations or phone numbers. It’s much quicker and more intuitive than typing. NoteShelf also has a lot of export options to Dropbox and the like, or you can send via e-mail.
I recently gave a talk about the internet and used NoteShelf as my flash-cards during the interview, proving (to me at least) its power as a productivity device.
