New Site Tells You If Facebook Insights Is Functioning
If you’re a admin for a Facebook brand page, chances are you’ve been scratching your head at this problem. No matter what day it is, Facebook Insights always seems to be a few days behind. Instead of being up to date and giving admins the resources and information they need, users are left waiting a few days before such information comes to light.
With this in mind, Facebook analytics side Page Lever have created a site to highlight this problem named whyisfacebookinsightsnotworking.com. It’s a somewhat misleading title as instead of telling you why, it tells you how far behind Facebook analytics is in updating your page. The makers of the site explain its purpose:
Towards the beginning of 2012, Facebook has been making major changes to Insights and keeps getting behind in processing everything. Normally, you should expect around a 48 hour delay.
Instead of updating only our awesome customers, we figured we’d give everyone a simple site to see how far behind you should be.

Accompanying the site is a button allowing you to tweet just exactly how far behind Facebook is in updating the site so that you can spread the word. Alongside that – since the company specialise in Facebook analytics – they provide links to their site where you can sign up to a trial.
Sure, it’s promotional, but it’s certainly effective in enticing those users who have become impatient with Facebook’s Insights to change ranks. Until the company sorts through the backlog, it could mean more customers for Page Lever and for those offering similar services.
