Twitfooter – Letting You Add Tweets To Your Email Signatures

Twitfooter is an incredibly simple little app that lets you add your latest tweets to the bottom of your email signatures and raise awareness about your Twitter account. It’s a tool that could be used by individuals or companies to raise awareness about their Twitter account, share links and get new followers. The app is very quick to install and can be used across multiple email clients and the beauty is that it actually updates in real time as you update Twitter. The one area of caution that I would have would be linking up personal accounts to work email addresses (we all swear a little and get a little casual in our personal Twitter accounts) but used correctly this is a great tool. You see plenty of companies with little Twitter images embedded in to the bottom of their email signatures but having this is far more powerful as it constantly updates and is in effect like an advert for your Twitter account on all your emails. Here is how Twitfooter works…

Simple To Use

All you have to do to install the app is to authorize it via Twitter (this allows it to automatically pull in your tweets) and then grab a piece of code for whichever email client you are using. Once installed users will be able to click through to the actual tweet.

Stats

The most interesting part of the app is that it provides statistics to show who has been clicking on your links within the emails. This will quickly help you to establish if people are finding your tweets interesting enough to click through. If you have a relatively large organization with plenty of emails being sent out on a daily basis this could add up to a decent amount of clicks through to your blog, website or twitter account.

Simple To Follow Instructions

Once you have completed all the steps and chosen your email client of choice Twitfooter gives you a few very simple step by step instructions that you’ll have to carry out. There isn’t much technical knowledge needed here and pretty much anybody should be able to do this.
