Howard here.. I had a bit a of frazzle with your cooking show’s producer’s mum last year, but I hope we can put that behind us. I believe what you’re trying to do wrt a social business is the right way to go and I wish you and Lauren the best, I really do.

Nevertheless, I couldn’t help comment on your latest posting. I believe that you’re behind the times in assuming that TV is evolving. Frankly Niall, it’s already evolved.

My wife and I, both 55 yo, watch TV exclusively via TiVo, Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon. We NEVER watch live TV.

Our boys, 16 and 19, watch shows on-line, by no other method.

You talk about TV evolving.. it’s already evolved my friend, that evolution is done and finished, except for 80+ yos like my mum!

Nevertheless, stay with it buddy, I think you’re on the right track!

since then.

What gives you the right to tell someone in an extremely condescending
tone what has evolved? Yes your family are all watching TV online but the
majority of the world is not and probably don’t even know these services exist.
I am a 25 year old who watches a lot of television through the Internet but
just as much on my TV planner. Not forgetting the huge amount of sport I watch
Live with millions of others. If UPC is launching an app that will help me
record my favourite shows while on the go, well then that’s brilliant.

Instead of saying how bad other people’s ideas are, maybe you should
come up with your own. I’m sure UPC would love to hear them, “buddy”.

I think TV is evolving very fast, but I still love watching TV on my actual TV and not the PC. The only time I go to DISH Online to watch TV is when I miss an episode and forget to record it. I go there because I work for DISH so I know the site is safe and it is free. I even use it to watch a show that I have been meaning to check out and have yet. It is a great site to catch up on shows since they show current and old episodes of several shows. Other then going there for those things I love sticking with live TV.
