4 New Linkedin Features That Will Help Companies Massively
I’ve been watching Linkedin closely recently and they seem to be rapidly adding features that are improving the experience for users. Let’s be honest and say that the site was coming from a place a year ago where it had an awful lot of users but it was never that user friendly. The improvement has been massive in recent months and one area that has seen the biggest improvement are the the tools available for companies to use and to help promote themselves. It has to be said though that a lot of these are features that have been mirrored from other social networks (Facebook and Twitter largely) but having said that they are clearly useful features that all companies need to help promote themselves. Here are some of the ways that Linkedin has improved in recent times for companies….
Improved Page Insights
A whole host of new analytics within Linkedin now allow you to see who is clicking on your company page, who follows your ads and even which of your employees are being contacted. These advanced analytics also allow you to see which sector people are coming from which might help tailor some of your recruitment measures.

In short, everything that you need to know to manage your company’s presence on LinkedIn is now available via the Analytics tab. And for every one of these data slices, you can compare yourself against similar companies to benchmark your performance.

Company Page Editing
One of the areas that have always been slightly grey on Linkedin is who has control to edit your company page but Linkedin have just released a new feature which is very similar to admins on Facebook pages and allow you to select anybody within your company to update and improve your pages.

Recommend Button
After the huge rise in popularity of the like button on Facebook it was always going to be inevitable that other social networks would try and invent their own button. The linkedin version is designed for products and services so as your happy customers can click it when you offer or do something for them that they like and they want to pass that on to their own network. Think of it as word of mouth marketing that you would get in the offline world but instead in the form of a handy little button for your website or company blog.

Linkedin Share Button
Again this is something that other social networks have had in place for some time but Linkedin launched this a couple of weeks ago and having a sharing button makes a lot of sense. With Linkedin becoming a far more social space and far more content being shared there it seems logical that a share button would start appearing on some more business focused sites.
