Google maps extend traffic feature to 13 European countries
Google Maps has expanded its traffic feature, originally accessible to US, Britain, Canada, by allowing the service to be viewed in thirteen more European countries.
The feature, which now includes Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain and Switzerland, allows you to see live traffic information for all the major routeways and main city roads. Users based in Britain will benefit from an update allowing them more detailed coverage of traffic patterns.
The live traffic function is regularly updated to show information for traffic events to reflect conditions experienced in the last five to ten minutes. For those wanting to plan ahead, users can choose a day and time and see how busy traffic will be at that point. These results are based on predictions gathered from analysing past traffic conditions and estimating how busy it will be during that period.
The traffic function is also available to view on mobile devices allowing you to react to any new developments while on the move.
