Brilliant KLM App Makes Inspiring Holiday Movies From iPhone Photos
If there’s one brand that’s been getting a lot of attention for their innovative socail media campaigns, it’s KLM who have been responsible for the live reply tweet and surprising random passengers with gifts among many others. This campaign not only taps into capturing moments for those travelling home or abroad for the Christmas holidays, but as a product which will serve a purpose all through the year.
Now they’ve launched a new app which allows their passengers to create movies from their holiday snapshots and turn their holiday memories into interesting adventures. Named the Passport app, it can be used to create a picture postcard or a snapshot slideshow, where you can share your creations on Facebook, youtube or via email.
The slideshows are turned into inspiring movies which open up inside a passport, highlighting where you went through geotagging and reflects the theme you’ve picked ranging from adventure, family & friends and winter wonders.
Every time you use the app, you gain a stamp for your (virtual) passport which serves no function other than aesthetics. However, KLM’s app is a brilliant idea in helping giving traditional holiday snaps a new lease of life, something that many other airlines and travel orientated brands will try to impersonate once they catch wind of this.
