Now Google Wants To Take On Instagram And Photo Sharing Apps
Google has it’s fingers in so many pies at the moment that you really don’t know what they are going to take on next. They’ve made a huge splash with Google + but that doesn’t mean that they are not trying to take on other huge internet giants at the same time. The latest venture could see them getting in to the mobile photo sharing space with an app that is called Photovine. Although there is no sign of an actual app on Android or iPhone yet there is a landing page which seems to give away a bit of information about the new upcoming product.
Facebook have been rumored to be working on their own photo sharing app of late and everybody knows how much traction sites like Instagram are getting as people use the cameras on their smart phones to share photos with their friends and family in a very social way. What I find most interesting in this landing page is the style and design quality which is never something that you expect from Google but they have really made huge efforts to pick that up recently. The new app looks like it is coming soon (probably with Apple for approval) and interestingly it says that is a Slide product (who are a company that Google bought last year). You would imagine this will link in with Google + when it launches but you just have to wonder how many new products can Google keep launching? What will it be tomorrow?
