Google Plus Makes Impressive Changes Including Improved Photos And Business Pages
Say what you want about Google Plus but one thing that you can’t take away from them is the speed and frequency of their updates to the service. Today they are rolling out a bunch of new stuff just in time for the New Year and rounding off the year by listening to all the things that their users actually wanted. New features today include an interesting new development in the world of streams which they are calling “volume control” and is seen as a way of moderating your streams and finding the stuff that matters. There are also a bunch of improvements to pages including the ability to have multiple admins and the merging of people who have +1 the page and people in your circles.
Volume Control
This is an interesting one because not only are Google giving you the ability to put people in to Circles but they are now also giving you volume control on the different parts of your stream. It means that you could make people quieter or bump up the frequency of streams you like. Sounds complicated but might just work.
Improvement To Pages
When Google plus business pages launched they were well received but they did have some problems like the lack of multiple admins which kept popping up. Google have made three big changes and seem to be listening to the community which is a good sign.
Improved Photos
One of the most passionate groups of users on Google plus is the photographers and Google have taken the already impressive photo viewer and made it even more slick. Images are now full screen when big enough and they look absolutely fantastic.
