Gmail Prioirty Email Sorts Mail By Importance – Video Explanation

We all get a lot of mail. It’s the main way that most of us run our businesses and interact with others online. It’s a necessary evil and one of the most common complaints you will hear on social media channels is that people are too busy to answer all their mail. I did a quick check and I have to get through about an average of 200 emails per day and if you take the nominal figure of 2 minutes per email you are looking at over 6 hours per day just spent on replying to email. I know I work online and would probably be considered a power user but many people have the same issue and far less time than I do to reply to their email and still struggle. Google have just announced the new feature and although it has not arrived to my own account yet as I use Google Apps (Google has strange habit of updating features to it’s paying customer later than it’s free services) but you can be sure I will be switching it on immediately. The one worry that I do have is just how well this will work and although it could be a great product can I really put all my confidence in the power of a computer algorithm to tell me which emails are most important? I do fear that no matter how good this new service is I’ll still always have a bit of an eye on all my inbox watching out for that one important email. Will we be telling people soon that “sorry I didn’t get back to your mail but it got lost in my regular unimportant mail!!”.
