New “Facebook Movie” The Social Network Trailer Goes Live

A couple of weeks ago we were all treated to a new trailer for “The Social Network” – the film about the early days of Facebook. The producers are obviously using social media and sites like Youtube, Facebook and Twitter to hype this film months in advance and really build the online buzz. We’d expect nothing less from a film about a social network!
What’s incredible is that the first two short clips have really not given anything away at all and we are yet to see a single piece of footage from the film. The buzz online is huge and stands it in good stead come release time. It should be an interesting film!

I’m excited for this. I really enjoyed Ben Mezrich’s book “The Accidental Billionaires” (the source material) and I like pretty much anything done by Aaron Sorkin (TV’s the West Wing) who wrote the screenplay. I’m not sure how accurate it will be since Zuckerberg didn’t talk to Mezrich (I don’t blame him) and many of the scenes deal with Zuck’s thoughts and actions alone but it should be entertaining for sure.
