I’ll be honest, the best fan page I’ve seen is this Christmas one – http://www.facebook.com/xmascarols such a warming and fun little fan page with lots to do on it. Perhaps it’s just not well known enough to make the cut on this site!

the guys at the above link have built fan pages that are not just pretty but that are fully search engine friendly. I checked on one of their fan page creations at http://facebook.com/miamireia just to see how it would stack up on Google and it was GREAT!. They also have built many others all using the fully SEO’ed approach which seems to improve placement and allows for advanced features like on Facebook sells and such of goods and services. Here is another link to another fan page they built that I liked too… http://facebook.com/lpkentucky Amazingly a phone call to these guys revealed they are a small business of 2 and that they work for cheap. I got a quote for a custom tab that was decked out with video gallery and much more for really cheap compared to the other guys who are too big time for my little business.

Thanks for that Holly. Agreed that there are some great small business pages out there. They often have more personality to them to whith people putting their heart and soul into them. These are some pretty cool Facebook Fan pages, but I agree with Rob these are all massive companies with huge marketing budgets and expertise. I too would like to see some smaller companies like Twitter Moms which has used Facebook to really help grow it’s popularity and network community. Or Women in Business Networking, Inc which is non-profit business organization catering to women business owners has gained a good size following from Facebook too.

Rob it is a good point and you can be sure that one of our next editions will feature “10 great Facebook Pages from small businesses”. The good thing about FB pages though is that the barriers to entry are pretty low so you don’t have to be a big brand to get involved
