Nice list and lots of things for me to look at. For pictures I use http://www.deviantart.com and in particular the stock photo sections. So far it’s cost me nothing other than a little time asking for permission to use photographs. I’ve only been turned down twice in two years. Also sometimes the sheer variety of pictures sparks the creative blogging juices!

Pauline I think you hit the nail on the head by asking are you procrastinating? I would say yes 100%. Just jump in there and have a little bit of fun. None of us got it right at the very start. We all made tons of mistakes and looked stupid and did silly things that were not the correct “blogging way” but you live and learn by your mistakes and that is half the fun of it! Just give it a go and get involved

Hello, thank you again for this information. Have to say thanks to you guys, I am slowly getting nearer to entering that brave world of blogging. I have set a blog up on wordpress, and a title and tagline picked. Now all I need to do is concentrate and make my first entry!!!Have a few different topics just dithering over what should be the first one…Also, I have a lot of nagging, silly little questions like the following..Does it matter that I haven’t filled in the ABOUT page, can that come later. Also, don’t know how to add twitter and facebook details or could they wait as well. My twitter sign in is different to my blog name…Does that matter? Or am I procrastinating? I guess I should follow your advice in the blog, X Factor Special â€“ Give Your Blog The Jedward Treatment and “Give every ounce, fuck the haters, play to my strengths, believe in myself and be a showstopper”
