Vodafone 360 Blogger Launch

Yesterday saw the launch of a very interesting product from Vodafone called 360, it was a worldwide event but we attended the Dublin event where Dita Von Teese was on hand to help show off the new service. The service is aiming to help you merge all your contacts through your mobile as well as allowing you to integrate all your social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Instant messaging. The service was launched with the very glamorous Dita Von Teese flying in for the day but will not be available for over a month for consumers. It is interesting to see a network like Vodafone trying to get into this space and the one key benefit is the ability to centralize your contacts. Everybody who was present got a good chance to get a demo of the phone and a group of us sat down with Vodafone to have a chat about how they can engage with bloggers and social media in general moving forward. It was a good discussion with lots of ideas thrown up with the main factor being that bloggers would like to see more of a face behind the social media presence of the company and better information being spread from within the company particularly from a tech perspective possibly through developer blogs. Lots of interesting room for discussion and looking forward to seeing how this service stacks up against the iPhone against which it is clearly trying to compete, check out the videos and see what you think yourself…
