New Simply Zesty CEO – Yay We Got A New Boss!

Today was a big day for our little company as we hired a new CEO to help steer the ship as we continue to expand. Ken Fitzpatrick had his first day in the office today as CEO and will be taking the company forward from now on. We (Niall and Lauren) will be stepping aside from managing the business and handing control to Ken as we get to go back to focusing on our core business of social media, writing here on the blog and expanding our offerings. We see capturing somebody with Ken’s experience as a huge coup and by far his biggest strength is his valuable experience in growing companies internationally.

Huge Experience

The company is now at a stage where we employ 15 people in 2 countries, have a large range of high profile clients and as we continue to grow and create jobs it will take somebody with Ken’s experience to help us continue that growth smoothly. We feel we have taken the company as far as we possibly could and in order to free up our own time to do the work we love doing it’s important to bring a CEO in to the company and we couldn’t have wished for a better one than Ken. Ken has worked with us as a non executive director for some time now and we are delighted that somebody of his calibre has decided to join a company like ours and his experience will be especially useful with regards to growing the company in to the UK and beyond. We are in an incredibly lucky position that Ken already knows the company and our culture inside out and can now add value full time.

The Day We Grew Up

The business has been on a serious growth curve for the last 18 months since we launched and has always felt like a start-up but for us that changes today. We don’t want to lose our culture or change the way we work but today feels like graduation day for our company. We pinched ourselves when we saw Ken walk in today and then we really knew what an exciting new phase we are about to enter. We are both delighted to go to sleep tonight knowing we have a new boss!

New Roles And The Future

So what does this mean for us? Well Lauren will be head of client services which essentially means she will be looking after all the exciting campaigns we run for our clients in England and Ireland and constantly developing the services we can offer. Niall will be head of sales and marketing helping to establish the brand in new markets as well as bringing in more quality clients to add to our existing client base. Having Ken come on board will allow us to give these areas our full attention as well as continuing to develop a series of new products behind the scenes to compliment our services business. As we’ve gotten bigger over the past few months we feel it’s important that Ken sees us through this growth period, allowing us to focus on the areas that will fuel this growth. All in all it’s a really big day for us all here at Simply Zesty and hopefully a great big stepping stone to a bright new future
