Some Booze, Introducing The Team And Thanking You All
Myself and Lauren run around with our heads up our asses trying to build a business in tough times and sometimes forget to thank the people who help us and make the business what it is today. For the last 15 months since we have started we keep saying “lets bring everybody over for a shed load of beer who has ever helped us out” but we never seem to get around to it. I want to fix that right here now by extending an open invite over to our offices for beers, pizza and ping pong on Friday 10th September. We take everything we have for granted and really wanted to thank everybody from staff to clients to people who read this blog to people in the online community. We lead out lives in a way that never allows us to relax and we just decided that it was time to sit down and say a little thank you to everybody and have a beer with the people we should have been taking more time to talk to in the last year. Here are some other people that I want to thank right here right now and who will of course be coming along to party…
The Bad Looking SZ Bunch
Not been great at doing intros of new people here on the blog recently so thought a massively photoshopped photo (thanks Sarah) was in order. The only thing I can say is that we are a highly trained team and nobody will be able to beat even the weakest member (Tom) of the SZ team at ping pong on the night. Been bad at doing intros for new SZers recently so here is the lowdown on all the new team members…
Wise Old Lads
The two old looking lads (sorry Pete and Ken) are the wise heads who help steer the ship and keep us grounded or in boring business speak are our non executive directors. Together with myself and Lauren they make up the Simply Zesty board and will help us with our expansion in to the UK.
The Scruffy Arty Lads
The lads who get away with dressing scruffy and coming to meetings as they can claim to be arty are Aaron and Simon. They head up our video production side of the business and make quality content for both ourselves and brands here and in the UK.
The Brit Pack
Well apart from Lauren who hails for the UK there is Duncan who heads up our office over there and will be looking after out presence in the UK as we grow there. There is also our latest recruit Barry who brings some much needed development resources to the picture. Oh and the lovely Sarah who manages the office and makes sure the rest of us can keep doing great work is also from the UK!
The Paddies
Everybody else in the picture is from Ireland and works here in Simply Zesty HQ. We couldn’t do the work without such a great team and the only worry that we all have is that we are getting so cramped that the ping pong table is under major threat as new desks arrive! We are looking to move to the city center in the near future but finding the right spot is tricky.
Network Of People We Work With
Apart form the people in the picture there are just as many that we work with on a free lance basis doing everything from partnering to animation and building apps. These people are not full time in SZ but they are just as crucial to what we do. There are too many to list but you all know who you are.
Online community
We work with so many people on a daily basis in the online community that really help us out. People come along to launches, come and dance at events, enter competitions, read the blog here, do interviews, share content, do blog posts, share Youtube content, give us feedback, put up with us, humor us, listen to our wacky ideas, disagree with our blog posts, follow us on Facebook and generally go out of their way to help us and for that we are really really grateful. It’s a tiny gesture and the very least we can do is get you all very very drunk 
Clients
We wouldn’t be able to play ping pong all day instead of working and organize parties if it wasn’t for the clients we have Most we have been working with for long periods of time and for them showing faith in a small Irish company trying to do something different we are eternally grateful.
Invites
We will work on some sort of official invite malarky next week for people who don’t see these blog posts but feel free to just come along. I’m not joking in the slightest in that if you read this blog and would like to come say hi and have a beer please do, we’d love to meet you. All you need to know is that there is free beer.
